The Nursery Caregiver creates a safe and nurturing environment for the children of the Nursery. Caregivers work under the supervision of a Supervisor of the Nursery, and under the direct leadership of the Nursery Lead. Caregivers provide childcare for children in the specific area to which they are assigned. All Nursery staff are expected to provide a welcoming, nurturing and safe environment for everyone in connection with the Nursery. Caregivers engage in continuous improvement, teamwork and communication training, and they change behaviors to improve customer service and job performance as necessary.
Must be at least 18 years of age. High school or equivalent education is required. Must hold beliefs that are consistent with those of First Presbyterian Church, with some Bible knowledge preferred. Previous Caregiver experience helpful. Current First Aid/CPR certification is necessary, and training is available.
The Caregiver will work approximately 10-15 hours/week, with flexibility to work additional hours as needed. Flexibility in the daily activities of the position is essential.
